He talked a little about the meaning of ioiô and iaiá, (terms for the slave master or his/her son or daughter,) and mentioned that he learned these corridos from a Mestre Poloca (of Grupo Nzinga.) We also sang Beira mar ioiô, beira mar iaiá. The "titles" I've listed for tthe songs are, of course, arbitrary, and my own choice, (not Silvinho's.)
